Kings Park Hotel

Loved this old police stations situated opposite the park in this photo. The manager/owner helped us with our bags and shifted us down stairs as I was on crutches. Not only did he do this but he gave us access to a covered cat park. The dinning room was out of use due to up grades intended but he supplied a continental breakfast which was absolutely. fine. He’s not always at reception but there’s a ph number to call and he’s there promptly.

I was greeted by welcoming and helpful staff. My room was clean, tastefully decorated, spacious, and well equipped - the fridge, and TV with YouTube app, were particularly nice features. The bed was comfortable, and the shower very spacious and easy to operate. As an early riser, I particularly appreciated that breakfast is served from 07:00. Breakfast itself included a range of sweet and savoury offerings, and was generally great considering it was included in the already reasonable room price. The provision of decaffeinated coffee, and a selection of biscuits, in the room was also a welcome bonus.

Location and comfortable beds. Felt the breakfast could be better. No eggs,cheese or ham. But if you like cereal it is good enough. Being the old police station it has history and you can see the cells etc.The location was great opposite the park and round the corner from town.

Quirky small hotel in recently renovated Old Police Station. Easy walking distance from Retford Market Place and all the towns amenities. Opposite pleasant park and close to cheap parking.Friendly receptionist. Excellent continental breakfast included in price with plenty of choice. All in all very good value for money comfortable stay.

Interesting building and the staff gave us a tour of the cells. Very comfortable room, nice shower. There isn't any parking but there is a public car park almost adjacent that only charges between 10 and 4 so fits with an overnight stay.
